IMPROVEMENT OF ARID AND SUB-HUMID LANDS IN UGANDA AND NAMIBIA

Honourable Ministers of Environment,Tourism and Natural Resources,
Namibia/ Uganda.

Following a joint Presidential Conference held in Abuja, Nigeria on 3 /12 /2007 on effects of climate change on African economy, we the indigenous communities of the above countries have common African cultures of protecting, preserving and sustaining our bio-diversity.
It is in this view that we encourage your Ministries as National Focal Points to involve indigenous communities in planning and decision making processes  on thematic areas so as to enhance traditional knowledge in Natural Resource Management.
Find attached copies of MoU between the two countries and representatives of indigenous peoples.

We look forward for your response.
