GIT/TEK Workshop in Windhoek, Namibia

Dear All,
Today has been our first day into our four days long workshop on GIT/TEK in Windhoek, Namibia. Since it was quite a relaxed day in terms of the scheduled activities, it was filled with alot of IT training ranging from blogging to plotting locations and the usage of Google earth. We became experts in a short time. The challenge we are faced with is to think of ways that will help us to translate the knowledge we have acquired into advocacy and lobbying tools. I am hoping that by the end of the workshop we shall come up with clear strategies on way foward keep these technolgies alive and thus keep each other informed.

Excited and anxious to employ this knowledge to rural poor, disadvantaged and marginalised people for self-reliancy and opportunity to make their own choice.
